The Republicans now dominate the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. The moment the GOP took over, they started looking into President Joe Biden’s family and friends. They now have access to crucial information thanks to the Treasury Department.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) informed the American public of the new development in a statement on March 14.
An “in camera review of the suspicious activity reports” (SARs) pertaining to the president’s family and connections, according to the legislator, will now be provided by the Treasury Department. Any significant or unexpected international transactions are flagged in the reports.

Only one week before the revelation, the chairman criticized Jonathan Davidson, the assistant secretary for legislative affairs, for skipping a scheduled meeting with the committee.
However, the department resisted giving the SARs over. At the time, Comer urged that the administration start helping with their investigation.
The chairman recently accused the president of trying to modify the rules unexpectedly in order to limit [Congress’] capacity to carry out oversight. He continued by claiming that the committee has obtained records demonstrating how someone close to the president reportedly accepted a $3 million payment from a Chinese business soon after Biden served as vice president in 2017.
The letter omitted information about the associate’s identity, industry, and relationship to Biden.
The announcement comes as the Republicans is pushing for investigations against the president and his family. They have long been alarmed by the Biden family’s connections to foreign companies, particularly Hunter Biden’s.
While Biden was vice president, his son worked for a Ukrainian energy firm. He supposedly has connections to Chinese businesses as well. There are concerns over how much Joe Biden participated in his son’s business endeavors and whether this may have an effect on the nation now that he is the commander in chief.
