Customer Charged With Murder After Defending Store Staff

Tragically violent and violent deaths occur each day in the US. When a Texas man attempted to assist Family Dollar employees, he believed he was acting morally. He is now accused of murder.

Dallas police responded to a call at a Family Dollar shop on November 39. At the establishment, a person was shot just before 7:30 p.m.

According to a police news release, Phillip Betts, a 26-year-old man who was shot, was attempting to steal from the store when he got into a confrontation with employees. During the altercation, Kevin Jackson Sr., 47, entered the building and shot the victim, who later died. He was detained by police, and now he is accused of murder.

Jackson ordered the staff to move before shooting the customer. According to the police, the suspect was racing toward the store’s door when Jackson opened fire on him. Police were informed by the workers that they were not close to Betts at the time of the shooting.
