Dem’s Meltdown Over Elon Musk Reaches a New Level

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and new Twitter owner Elon Musk are currently engaged in now a two-day verbal exchange in which the former accuses the latter of restricting her account because notifications no longer work.

Ocasio-Cortez claimed in an Instagram live that the purported censoring started when she blasted Musk for wanting to charge customers $8 per month to be verified.

“Your feedback is appreciated, now pay $8.” Musk responded.

“So I pulled up my Twitter app and it’s, like, gone. Like, when you pull up your mentions and stuff like that, it’s just like literally a blank screen so it turns out we got under a certain little billionaires’ skin,” Ocasio-Cortez further said.

After posting a screenshot, Ocasio-Cortez revealed that her verified notification tab was empty. She claimed that because she had not been receiving notifications, she was unaware that Musk had replied to her. It’s probable that Musk’s Wednesday response caused her notifications to crash since so many users were talking about the topic.

She then posted, “Yo @elonmusk while I have your attention, why should people pay $8 just for their app to get bricked when they say something you don’t like? This is what my app has looked like ever since my tweet upset you yesterday. What’s good? Doesn’t seem very free speechy to me.”

In order to make Twitter economical and to give users more benefits, including paying users, Musk has endorsed the concept of charging users to be verified.
