Another bus carrying illegal immigrants has just arrived in Washington, D.C. from Texas. This takes the total number to four.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) issued an order earlier this month to begin busing illegal immigrants who have been dropped off in Texas communities to Washington, D.C. Texas, of course, has been one of the states hardest hit by the surge in illegal immigration at the southern border since President Joe Biden took office.
Texas is sending charter buses to transfer illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington, D.C., Abbott said, to assist local officials whose communities are being overrun by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration.
“We’re transporting them to the United States Capitol, where the Biden administration will be able to address the needs of the people they’re enabling to enter our border more quickly,” he continued.
Following that, the White House issued a statement labeling Abbott’s proposal a publicity stunt. Abbott’s plan was plainly not going to be carried out, according to the administration.
Abbott began transporting illegal aliens from Texas to Washington, D.C. via bus. the 8th of April It is unknown how many buses have been dispatched in total. So far, four people have shown up.
On Saturday, the fourth one arrived. When it arrived at Union Station, it only had 10 passengers on board. 30 migrants were aboard the bus that arrived a day earlier, on Friday.
The main question now is whether Abbott will face legal repercussions. Illegal aliens are routinely transported throughout the country by the federal government. Several stories have surfaced in recent months claiming that the federal government has deported illegal aliens to New York, Florida, and other places.
The question of whether a state could do the same is a different one. The issue is further compounded by the fact that the federal government is manifestly failing to secure the border.
For the time being, Abbott appears to be planning to continue transporting illegal immigrants from Texas to Washington, D.C.
