If recent stories describing the backroads places they’re having her go to in the coming weeks are a realistic sign, Kamala Harris is a big liability to the Biden administration at this point in her stint as Vice President.
The reasons she’s become a barrier to this administration rather than an assistant have been thoroughly chronicled, most notably her failure to make any significant progress in discovering the core causes of the southern border issue, a mission handed to her by President Biden over a year ago.
Reports have surfaced for months now, supplied by former and present colleagues, that have highlighted how Harris is a horrible and obnoxiously dictatorial team manager who wants her staffers to perform all the time-devouring grunt work while she takes all the credit.
Tina Flournoy, Harris’ chief of staff, said today that she will be stepping down from her position.
Flournoy guided Harris’ team through a tumultuous period marked by reported tensions with West Wing employees and perplexing demands assigned by President Biden to his No. 2, including curbing illegal immigration and passing federal election reforms.
Tina has been a valuable counselor and confidante to me, as well as a terrific leader for the office, Harris said in a statement.
“From day 1, she led our team during a historic first year as we made progress rebuilding our economy here at home and our alliances around the world. Tina is the consummate public servant and I will continue to rely on her advice, counsel and friendship.”
The cause behind Flournoy’s departure has not been revealed.
The flight of personnel is reasonable and probably expected, given Harris’ reputation for being extraordinarily tough to work for and with.
