Former President Donald Trump issued a statement on Thursday in response to investigations against him, calling them “illegal witch hunts.”
“Thank you to the Department of the Interior Inspector General for Completely and Totally exonerating me in the clearing of Lafayette Park!” Trump said in his statement.
Trump also addressed the allegation of obstruction of justice made against him.
Trump especially responded to the Interior Department Inspector General report this week which exonerated him in the event of Lafayette Park protesterscontroversy. The mainstream press story asserted the then-president had protesters removed in order to maintain a photo-op before a church.
The former president also dealt with accusations from former White House attorney Don McGahn. The attorney testified last week before a congressional panel.
The former president has been immediately respond to attacks against him, causing many to speculate whether he’ll run for president in 2024.
Trump has yet to announce whether he’ll run for the White House again in 2024. But many are already looking forward to his choice.
In an interview which aired in May on”The Dan Bongino Show,” Trump teased listeners about another presidential run.
