Agents from the Tucson Sector Border Patrol detained two armed human traffickers as they transported immigrants from southern Arizona into the interior of the United States
An armed human smuggler was stopped by an agent from the Ajo Station, who later seized a revolver from the car, a red sedan, according to images shared on Twitter by Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John R. Modlin. The driver, who was subsequently detained, was a United States citizen. He was moving to a family that was made up of illegal immigrants.
Agents from the Douglas Station Border Patrol station halted a blue car for an immigration check in another part of the Tucson sector. Two Guatemalan nationals were discovered by agents in the vehicle’s trunk.
The Tucson Sector stopped a blue car for an immigration check on SR-80. As the agents discovered two Guatemalan migrants trapped within the trunk in the summer heat, Chief Modlin and United States Border Patrol Deputy Chief Matthew Hudak walked by and watched.
Agents from Wilcox Station responded to a request for help made by troopers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety on SR-90. Four illegal Mexican immigrants were discovered by the officers during an immigration interview.
In connection with the smuggling event, police detained two United States citizens. A tiny weapon was discovered in the center console of the car during a search.
