Joe Biden declared that he will provide widespread pardons to anybody convicted of specific federal marijuana charges. This, like his illegal attempt to bail out student loan debt, is obviously an attempt to try and buy votes before the midterm elections.
That was brought up by Kamala Harris during her utterly disingenuous comments.
“And speaking of the system of justice, we are also changing — y’all might have heard that this week — the federal government’s approach to marijuana. Because the bottom line there is nobody should have to go to jail for smoking weed.”

She oversaw hundreds of marijuana-related charges while serving as the San Francisco district attorney and attorney general of California, which is incredibly ironic and hypocritical. She was also opposed to the legalization of marijuana until recently, when she appeared to change her mind when it gained more political acceptance four years ago.

During the presidential debate, Tulsi Gabbard memorably called her out for locking people up and then laughing about it.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s congressional opponent John Dennis of the San Francisco Republican Party criticized the vice president in a tweet, writing, “Shameless. As Attorney General Harris of California jailed individuals for “smoking marijuana,”
Actor Matthew Marsden continued, “The hypocrisy is staggering.”
“Clearly, Kamala has forgotten her legacy in California,” said U.S. Senate Candidate Mark Meuser (R-CA) .
Before supporting it, she opposed it.
Furthermore, it should be emphasized that although Biden made that statement regarding marijuana, most of the people found guilty of simple marijuana possession are doing so on the basis of state charges, thus it wouldn’t apply to them. It wouldn’t necessarily apply because most convictions on federal counts also result in convictions on other charges.
