Carjacker Met With Unexpected Fate In Las Vegas Attack

Since the start of the pandemic, crime has grown across America, putting people in risky situations. The number of violent crimes in Nevada is going down. But one woman just had to battle for her life in a criminal circumstance, and she won.

On November 19, a woman and her friend were waiting in their car in North Las Vegas when a car unexpectedly arrived and obstructed them. Out of the car, armed guys in masks came toward them. The female driver was pulled from the vehicle by one of the men, who seized her. He then sat inside the vehicle and unsuccessfully attempted to turn it on.

While he tried to determine what was going on with the automobile, the carjacker in the driver’s seat put his revolver on his lap. The victim seized the chance to take the weapon and begin to flee. At that point, she was attacked and was then tackled. She shot the individual who tackled her to save her life by using the carjacker’s gun. She was being shot at by the other criminal, but she was able to get away.

A man wearing a mask was lying on the ground as North Las Vegas police arrived on the scene. He was already dead despite their best efforts to save him. Officers discovered the suspicious vehicle belonged to Jaylin Morrison’s mother on December 2, at which point they detained him for his alleged involvement in the crime. Jaylin is 18 years old.

Charges against him include attempted grand larceny of a car, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and attempted burglary with a deadly weapon. He is also accused of second-degree kidnapping.

In connection with the incident, police have also detained Jaylyn Mays and Derico Jackson, both 19 years old.
