After being found guilty of sexual assault, a transgender man was sentenced to three years in prison for deceiving two girlfriends by using a prosthetic penis during intercourse and refusing to let them see him nude.
Carlos Delacruz, 35, pled guilty to entering both ladies without their consent with an unknown object between 2013 and 2017, according to The Daily Mail, and was sentenced to prison in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Delacruz, who was born a woman in Spain and subsequently resided in the United States before relocating to Scotland, was also given a five-year non-harassment order and will be on the sex offenders list eternally.
Delacruz insisted on keeping the lights off during intercourse, so neither woman knew he didn’t have a biological penis. They acquired thrush after experiencing excruciating agony after intercourse with the prosthesis. One woman also had days of bleeding.
“During intercourse he would hold on to the base of the penis with his hand,” prosecutor Kirsten Cockburn told the court, according to The Mail.
According to The Scottish Sun, Sheriff Alison Stirling told Delacruz that he had inflicted bodily and psychological harm to the women, and that one of his victims was made to feel guilty for not becoming pregnant, despite the fact that it was impossible.
Delacruz’s victim also claims she has flashbacks and panic attacks as a result of what he did. Delacruz, according to Sheriff Stirling, made one victim feel disgusting and exploited.
After parting up and finding the truth, the ladies who had been in relationships with Delacruz at various periods both denounced him to the police.
Delacruz originally assumed a masculine look at the age of eight, according to defense lawyer Cameron Tait, before assuming the name Carlos at the age of sixteen. He was officially recognized a man in his home Spain in 2008, when he was 22 years old.
The case is comparable to Gayle Newland’s 2015 conviction for using a prosthetic penis to deceive a fellow female student into having intercourse with her while assuming she was a man.
