Ukraine Destroys Russian Landing Ship After Media Leaked Its Location


On Thursday, Ukraine celebrated the destruction of a Russian warship transporting military supplies to invading forces.

Aerial imagery showed massive plumes of black smoke pouring over the Azov Sea from the Berdyansk ports, which Ukraine claims Russia has taken over.

The ship caught fire as it sat close to at least two others, though it was unclear whether the damage had spread beyond the Orsk.

H.I., a defense analyst and novelist, The Alligator-class ship, according to Sutton, was destroyed by a ballistic missile strike. As the fire burned, two other ships were spotted sailing away.

The Orsk arrived in Berdyansk, a port about 60 miles from Mariupol, the city that has been subjected to the war’s most brutal bombardment, on Monday.

According to state-run news agency TASS, a Russian official welcomed its arrival as an incredible event that opens up prospects for sending supplies.

The Black Sea Fleet’s massive landing craft has arrived and is unloading armored personnel vehicles that will strengthen our grouping right in front of your eyes, the officer remarked of the now-destroyed ship that can handle up to 1,500 tons of equipment and supplies.

Russia has yet to respond to the Orsk’s apparent destruction.
