A Ukrainian intelligence official alleges in a new report that Russian President Vladimir Putin is suffering from a number of serious illnesses.
Cancer is among his afflictions, but he is expected to survive for at least a few more years.
According to Kyrylo Budanov, the chief of Ukraine’s military intelligence department, assassins attempted to murder Putin. In a widely publicized interview with Ukrayinska Pravda, Budanov, 36, stated that the Ukrainians believe Putin is battling cancer.
Putin’s health has been questioned on multiple occasions. According to some reports, the 69-year-old former Russian spy is undergoing treatment for leukemia.
However, based on his physical behavior at public occasions, some sources believe he has something different, such as Parkinson’s disease or dementia.
Putin would be out of power and in a long-term treatment center by 2023, according to another opinion, this time from a former MI6 commander.
According to Dearlove, establishing Putin may be an elegant alternative for a coup. In such a situation, he suggested Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of Russia’s Council of Ministers, as a possible successor.
“If my hypothesis is true and Putin did vanish into a hospital, I think he’s the probable stand-in,” said Dearlove, who commanded the British Secret Secret Services from 1999 to 2004.
Putin’s health has received a lot of attention in recent weeks. He missed a ten-year hockey game, and at one public appearance, he seemed heavy and clinging to a table.
A Kremlin-connected billionaire said Putin is suffering from blood cancer in a leaked video obtained by New Lines Magazine.
