Former Staffer for D.C. Democrat Councilmember, Shot Dead Outside Safeway Store

A former employee of Democratic D.C. Councilmember Brianne Nadeau met a tragic end when he was fatally shot outside a Washington, D.C., Safeway store. The incident occurred on Monday night, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police Department. The victim, 28-year-old Davon Fuller, was transported to the hospital but sadly did not survive his injuries.

Councilmember Nadeau stated, “I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn today of the death of Davon Fuller, a former constituent services representative in my office. He was a proud and caring father of two young children. His murder is a tragic loss and I sincerely hope there is justice for him.”

D.C. Councilmember Brianne K. Nadeau verified that the individual who was fatally shot on Monday had previously worked in her office. The Metropolitan Police Department reported that at approximately 1:40 p.m. on Monday, officers discovered 28-year-old Davon Fuller with gunshot wounds in the 1500 block of Maryland Ave. NE. He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

On Wednesday, Nadeau issued a statement regarding Fuller’s passing and noted that he served as a constituent services coordinator in 2018 and 2019.

In recent times, employees of Congressional representatives have fallen victim to thefts and assaults. In March, an incident saw a staffer from Senator Rand Paul’s office subjected to a daytime knife attack, resulting in multiple wounds.

Following this disturbing occurrence in June, a congressional employee for Republican Rep. Brad Finstad (MN) was assaulted in close proximity to the National Park.
