Trump Invites Children’s Choir Booted From Capitol To Sing Anthem At South Carolina Rally

The previous week, a children’s choir, filled with enthusiastic and patriotic young kids, had their rendition of the National Anthem prevented in the Capitol Rotunda by a group of Capitol Police officers. The officers justified their action by expressing concerns about potential offense it might cause. The choir, who had obtained a permit for their performance, had intended to express their love for their country by singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” in the acoustically impressive chamber of the Rotunda. Unfortunately, their performance was abruptly halted by law enforcement officers, whose responsibility is to safeguard the very symbol of our democracy.

Following the news, the choir has received an invitation from former President Trump to perform at a rally in South Carolina.

“I heard about what happened at the Capitol, and that’s a shame. It’s a really serious thing to have an event like that, such a beautiful time in your lives, and such an important time in your lives, to be interrupted in such a way. We are going to have you in South Carolina, and you’re going to sing at a rally for us in front of tens of thousands of people,” former President Donal Trump said.

“And we’re all going to have a great time together. We love our country. We’re going to take care of our country, and we’re going to pay respect to those people that love it,” filled with unwavering enthusiasm and an optimistic spirit, the prospective candidate, who aspires to secure the presidential position in the upcoming 2024 election, couldn’t contain his excitement as he passionately exclaimed his thoughts.
